Dr. Aarika V. White is a counseling psychologist who works with adults across the lifespan. Her focus is with individuals who have had traumatic experiences, struggle with anxiety and/or depression, or are seeking support through significant life transitions (e.g., educational/vocational transitions through graduation, returning to school, job loss or change, or similar; change in family structure through marriage, divorce, children leaving home or similar; grief/loss; acquisition of chronic or traumatic illness/disability especially traumatic brain injury).
Her areas of specialty include providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)-informed care and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma
Through training and work experience, she has had the privilege of serving a wide variety of populations throughout Indiana and southern Illinois including in private practice, college counseling centers, and community mental health. She has also served as a clinical supervisor for graduate students, masters level clinicians, and bachelors level skills trainers. She lived in Indiana for the majority of her adult life, and moved to central Florida in late 2021, where she is also licensed to practice psychology. She lives there with her husband and 2 dogs (Winnie and Rue). She enjoys visiting the beach and various amusement parks throughout the central Florida area.
