Dr. Marguerite Yoder is a licensed clinical psychologist and Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) who works primarily with adults. She has trained and worked in a variety of settings, including several college counseling centers, an academic medical center, and private practice. She was trained as a generalist to address and treat a wide variety of presenting concerns. Dr. Yoder is particularly passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing reproductive health and fertility struggles, perinatal mental health concerns, challenges adjusting to parenthood, and grief and loss. She also has experience and interest in providing therapy to other practicing therapists and working with individuals to address concerns related to anxiety, family of origin/family dynamics, relationship issues, identity exploration, and trauma.
Dr. Yoder deeply values the therapeutic relationship and strives to ensure that each person feels heard and understood. Her approach to therapy is personable, authentic, and collaborative. Her goal is to create a space where individuals feel comfortable and supported in processing through their experiences. Dr. Yoder integrates multiple theoretical approaches, such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal process, family systems, and strengths-based approaches to better fit the needs of each individual. She is committed to maintaining an affirming environment where everyone’s identities are honored through a culturally responsive and trauma- informed lens.
