Palak earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. She is currently completing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis.
Palak has previous clinical experience working with diverse populations in a college counseling center. She has provided individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, identity development, interpersonal difficulties, and behavioral concerns. Additionally, she is gaining training in providing psychological evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults. She is supervised by Dr. Erin Weaver and is also currently obtaining additional training working with sexual concerns and couples therapy.
Palak is guided by a person-centered and emotion-focused approach to therapy. She emphasizes the creation of a warm, safe, and trusting environment that encourages growth and healing. Palak values collaboration in therapy, which fosters the development of a genuine and authentic therapeutic relationship. She strongly believes in her patients’ abilities to progress towards their therapy goals and strives to both empower and encourage her patients in their therapeutic journey.
