Heming Li., M.ED., Assessment Practicum Student Intern

Heming Li (she/her) is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology PhD program at Purdue University. She has received training in university counseling centers, where she provided evidence-based individual and group therapy as well as psychoeducational workshops. She has also conducted psychological assessments through Purdue Psychology Treatment and Research Clinics (PPTRC), with prior assessment experience primarily involving children and the evaluation of neurodevelopmental conditions. Her clinical experiences also inform her research interests in psychological well-being among marginalized populations and caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental conditions.

At IPCI, Heming is especially interested in providing accurate, thoughtful assessments that help clients make sense of complex or overlapping concerns. She looks forward to expanding her experience in adult assessment and working with complex presentations and comorbid conditions. Through clear interpretation, diagnostic clarification, and individualized treatment recommendations, Heming hopes to help clients better understand their experiences and leave the assessment process with meaningful, actionable next steps.

Heming approaches clinical work with a strong commitment to multicultural awareness, inclusion, and respect for diverse identities and lived experiences. She strives to create an assessment process that is collaborative, affirming, and culturally responsive.
