Mireya Robles earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at Holy Cross College and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. She is currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at the University of Indianapolis. As a Latinx therapist, she strives to provide client-focused care that is culturally sensitive, understanding, and
nonjudgemental. Mireya is also passionate about working with both English and Spanish-speaking individuals from all backgrounds.
Mireya has experience working with clients struggling with a variety of mental health difficulties. She has helped clients struggling with anxiety, depression, romantic relationship issues, identity issues, ADHD issues, grief and loss, discrimination issues, trauma, and more. She additionally has experience working with parents in providing parent training. Mireya also works as a research assistant for Boston Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry under Dr. Yael Nillni. She is working as a bilingual, clinical assessor on a study examining perinatal mental health treatment in women with PTSD. Through this experience, Mireya aims to deepen her understanding of how trauma and pregnancy can impact women and apply that information in her clinical work.
In therapy, Mireya primarily integrates from gestalt and cognitive-behavioral approaches. For her, it is important to meet clients wherever they are in their therapy journey and collaboratively work together to help them meet their therapy goals.
