Consultation Services:
Dr. Maria Hanzlik is an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapy Supervisor. Certified supervisors are required to have practiced as a certified sex therapist for at least 3 years as well as obtain an additional 30 hours of consultation in addition to the 150 hours of sex therapy continuing education and 50 hours of supervision required to become a certified sex therapist. She provides consultation in the following areas:
- AASECT Sex Therapy Certification (individual and group supervision available)
- AASECT Sex Therapy Supervisor Certification
- General Sex Therapy Consultation
- Couples Therapy Consultation (Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy)
- Perinatal Mental Health
- Generalist Therapy Case Consultation
- Trauma Treatment and EMDR work (Note: I am not a certified EMDR consultant)
- Solo and Group Private Practice Business Development
Fees:
- Individual Consultation: $185/55-minute hour
- Consultation Group: Inquire for updated rates
- Limit 4 per group session
Summer & Fall 2026 AASECT Sex Therapy Group Supervision Cohorts (virtual)
Each cohort is a closed group, lasting 2-hours, and meets for 4 sessions (total of 8 hours for each cohort). If you work through three group cohorts, you can get most of your group supervision hours completed!

Cost: $370 for the 4 group series (works out to $92.50/2-hour group). 1/2 payment due at time of registration, remaining balance charged after the 2nd group. Groups cannot be refunded if you have to miss a group session.

Groups are limited to 4 participants. A signed supervision contract is required prior to beginning the first group. Groups include initial check-in from all participants, each member presents on a case and receives feedback from Dr. Hanzlik as well as other group members.
